Concept Project
Bufunfs | Financial APP

About
Bufunf is a finance application designed for users to have control over their expenses in an intuitive and uncomplicated manner, aiming to improve their financial health and organization.
Goal
To develop a product that enables users to record and manage their financial life in a straightforward and intuitive manner, encouraging them to maintain this habit consistently.
Research problem
Based on our investigations, we have observed that the lack of financial education in Brazil, with a specific focus, is closely linked to people's reluctance to frequently review their expenses and perceive the subject of finances as complicated. This leads to a situation where individuals fail to track their spending, accumulate debts, and struggle to maintain a healthier financial life.

In the beginning, we had considered three personas, but upon cross-referencing the information from our research and conducting our Job Stories and User Journey Map, we chose to focus only on the persona with moderate financial awareness. This persona better addressed the pains and needs mapped during the exploration phase.

How might we (HMW)
How can we enhance the financial well-being of the user through a practical and intuitive product?
Insights
Based on our research, we found that people often see financial organization as a taboo or a very difficult task. As a result, they struggle to manage their finances and can't find an intuitive tool that meets their needs without relying on bank APIs. So, we created a product that allows users to manage their finances in a simple and secure way (without sharing personal banking data) while also helping them set goals to achieve their objectives.
Execution
After conducting Benchmarking, primarily analyzing the features of Excel and Mobills (tools most mentioned in the research), we proceeded to brainstorm functionalities and filtered the best ones during the MoSCoW stage.
With these stages defined, we created the flowchart and moved on to wireframing to start designing screens and prototyping.
